Inclusion of Service Users

The knowledge and experiences of potential service users is essential in designing, implementing and delivering effective services. Victoria is leading the way nationally in ensuring this knowledge and experience is foregrounded in the design of a made-in-Victoria model for SCS, and in working with people who use(d) illicit drugs (PUID) in providing community outreach and education about SCS. The Peer Advisory Committee (PAC) is made up of 8 individuals who use(d) illicit drugs (PUID) in the context of extreme poverty and precarious housing. This group meets bi-weekly and is liaises with the campaign steering committee about ongoing planning regarding timelines and developing the most effective service models. *Photo is of PAC members and Steering Committee members visit Insite (Jan 2016)
